If you’re yet to make plans for New Year’s Eve, we’re here to help with the best events in England to welcome 2016! Everywhere will be heaving with locals and tourists out celebrating so ensure you book as soon as possible to guarantee yourself a memorable night. I recommend checking out Skiddle to but tickets for local events close to you.
London is such a special place on New Year’s Eve. There are plenty of events and things to do on the night, from taking a river dinner cruise, watching the fireworks at midnight on the South bank or partying the night away in one of London’s famous clubs. If you’re after something a bit different, many of London’s best comedy clubs have New Year’s Eve packages available. Alternatively, if you’re feeling extravagant, London’s Sky Bar is an incredible experience to see in the new year. Tickets are pricey but the 360 degree views of London are something that you’ll never forget.
The busting city of Birmingham is set for one of it’s biggest New Year’s Eves yet. With hundreds of events on throughout the city, the most popular venues sell out quickly so ensure you decide on plans soon. The O2 institute is a really popular venue and will be hosting a night with Wilkinson headlining. There are also other options including a night at Revolution Birmingham where tickets include a free glass of fizz, a circus theme night at Walkabout and the best in live stand up comedy at the Birmingham Comedy Club. Whether it is rocking bars, pubs or nice restaurants or even the incredible firework displays, Manchester has lots of things to provide the visitors for New Year’s Eve. If you’re looking for something more sophisticated, I recommend booking a table at one of Manchester’s amazing restaurants. Some of my favourites include Rosso, San Carlo, Artisan and Australasia which have food selections that everyone will enjoy. If you want to celebrate in the stars, enjoy a cocktail at Cloud 23 which provides spectacular views of the city.
Leeds is famous for having the best night life in the North of England so if you’re after an unforgettable night out this New Years Eve, Leeds is a great option. Some of the most popular events this year include Projekt NYE at the O2 academy, NYE at The Warehouse and love Leeds NYE at Mission. If you’re into your house music, head to Canal Mills to see Annie Mac and Redlight as the clock strikes midnight and keep the party going until 6am.
