The Ritz, London


Famous for afternoon tea ever since it opened in 1906, The Ritz is the place to go if you want an extravagant English experience. The price’s aren’t cheap but the setting is memorable and everyone dresses to impress!

Grand Cafe, Southampton

Previously known as Southampton’s grandest hotel, used by first class passengers of the Titanic, Grand Café mixes a décor of French Renaissance and the 21st century. Their afternoon tea provides guests with a selection of teas from around the world, sandwiches, scones, cupcakes and seasonal fruit, all for a very reasonable price.

Holbeck Ghyll, Lake District


If you’re after Afternoon Tea with a view, head to Holbeck Ghyll where you can enjoy a fabulous English experience whilst overlooking the spectacular Lake Windermere whilst eating your sandwiches and scones. This is an incredibly popular venue, so booking your table in advance is advised.

The Balmoral, Edinburgh

The Balmoral Hotel serves one of the grandest afternoon teas in Edinburgh, adorned by a Venetian chandelier and a glass dome ceiling. You are served a wide selection of teas, coffees and pastries whilst enjoying live music.

The Pump Room, Bath


The Pump Room in Bath is one of the city’s most elegant restaurants to dine for afternoon tea. They offer three kinds of tea; Traditional; Champagne; and Celebration Champagne. The food is sourced from local suppliers, providing delicacies such as Potted Ham Hock and Hot Somerset Cheese Rarebits, and the Pump House Trio play daily to accompany the occasion.

RosyLee’s Tearooms, Manchester

RosyLee’s Tearooms are located in Manchester’s bustling northern quarter, boasting a quaint mix of Georgian and Edwardian décor. The tearoom has a welcoming feel and a homely vibe, and the cakes and scones at RosyLee’s are all handmade.
