Welcome To The London Borough Of Havering.

The London Borough of Havering is ideally situated close to the rich cultural areas of London & Essex so the perfect location without paying London city prices. The principal town in Havering is Romford, well known for its market going back to the 13th century and currently recognised as the 4th largest retail centre in London.

15,000 people pour into its bars, restaurants and clubs at weekends, while other great locations include the towns of Hornchurch and Upminster. Excellent public transport links provide easy access to the countless attractions of central London, as well as the popular beach at Southend-on-Sea, making Havering the ideal base for any teacher arriving in the UK.

“It’s close to London, and there’s also a lot going on to keep you busy”

Things To Do

There are hundreds of exciting days out waiting to be had in and around Havering. It is within easy reach of the hustle and bustle of London so you are free to explore the London Eye, Thames, The Shard, London Bridge and everything else the city has to offer. If you’re a fan of the outdoors, head to Belhus woods, Rainham Nature Reserve and Hornchurch Country Park for gentle strolls and beautiful scenery. If you’re looking for a nice day out outside of London, I recommend Lakeside shopping centre for some retail therapy or Romford town to indulge in their well known market.
